On July 15'th at 9:30 a.m.,The Late Show with Gordon Pinsent on CBC Radio 1 (90.5 FM in the Chester area) will tell the story of an extraordinary man.
Peter Brock was a sailor and boatbuilder with roots in the Chester area.Some of his many other talents were pianist,author,potter,educator,pilot,shepherd,environmentalist and explorer.One of his biggest goals was to sail his boat,the Minke I through The Northwest Passage which he did accomplish.He was named 2006 Nova Scotia Sailor of The Year for this feat.Sadly,his life was cut short in a cycling accident near his home in Blandford,Nova Scotia on Dec.12'th,2006.
Tune in to hear his remarkable story.In case you miss it, it will be rebroadcast on Sun.,July 20'th at 11:00 a.m.

Loved the CBC show about this great Canadian. I actually listened to it from the CBC website where all of The Late Show programs are available for streaming. Here is the link:

I too loved the show, I had not heard of Peter till I heard Gordon's show on the weekend on CBC radio one from our cottage in Huntsville On. Does any one know if Peter's story is in print at all??
