June,27'th,Graves Island------------------------The rain held off and the 18'th Annual Graves Island Show and Shine went off without a hitch. The organizers were expecting from 250 to 300 vehicles and from all appearances it looked like there were about that many cars. When one walked around the show it was hard to tell who was having the most fun,the owners or the curious public and serious car buffs. The weather was cool and humid and the black flies were not out in numbers. There were prizes and draws and trophies to the first 200 entrants. The show has developed quite a following over the years and the organizers are to be commended for their efforts. Events such as The Graves Island Show and Shine bring a lot of visitors to the area.

It was interesting to see the many incarnations and various makes and models of vehicles as they have evolved over the years. Especially this year, considering all the shake ups and changes in the automotive industry and the drive for energy efficient and environmentally friendly vehicles.
Keep 'er between the ditches !
captainkidd, over and out.
